AN Interdisciplinary Study of the Transformation of Contemporary Islamic Society; Major Trends of Thought and Present Conditions

这一研究项目的目的是了解本世纪的伊斯拉姆社会，分析其变革的内在动力，同时澄清过去研究的问题，并建立不仅鉴于最近的“伊斯兰复兴”，而且考虑到这些领域的事实数据的积累，特别是思想和意识形态的适当的方法和分析框架。该项目被细分为四个主要主题：1.当代伊斯兰教和社会转型中的社会、经济和政治思想：2.伊朗十二世伊玛米什叶派的当代思想；3.伊斯兰经济学和金融学；4.伊斯兰政治中的思想和现实。跨学科研究为今后的继续研究奠定了坚实的基础：1.伊斯兰社会研究的方法论基础，包括塔希德-伊斯兰教法-乌玛三位一体的概念和伊斯兰网络的概念；2.澄清伊斯兰经济学原理和收集伊斯兰银行活动的数据；3.介绍伊朗伊斯兰革命主要理论家的思想，特别强调本体论哲学；4.分析阿拉伯-伊斯兰社会的政治层面，特别是巴勒斯坦阿拉伯人的政治层面和穆斯林兄弟会的情况。

This research project is aimed at understanding Islmaic Society in the present century and analyzing the inherent dynamics of its transformation, while clarifying the problematique of studies in the past and laying down methodological and analytical frameworks which are appropreate in view of not only the recent "Islamic Resurgence," but also in the accumulation of factual data in these areas, with a special emphasis on ideas and ideologies. The project was sub-divided into four major subjects: 1. Social, Economic, and Political Ideas in Contemporary Islam and Social Transformation: 2. Contemporary Thought of the Twelver Imami Shi'ism in Iran; 3. Islamic Economics and Finance; 4. Ideas and Realities in Islamic Politics.Cross-disciplinary studies have achieved in establishing a solid basis for continuing future research: 1. Methodological foundation for studies on Islamic society, includiong the notion of the Triad of Tawhid-Shari'ah-Ummah, and concept of the Islamic Network; 2. Clarification of the principles of Islamic economics and collection of data on Islamic Banking activities; 3. Presentation of ideas of the major ideologues of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, with a special emphasis on Ontological Philisophy; 4. Analysis of political dimensions of Arab-Islamic society, especially that of Palestinian Arabs and the case of Muslim Brotherhood.
