Superoxide dismutase 1 in patients with dementia of the Alzheimer type.

我们检测了阿尔茨海默型痴呆（DAT）患者的超氧化物歧化酶（SOD）。DAT患者被分为以下两个亚组：65岁之前发展的阿尔茨海默病（AD）和65岁之后发展的阿尔茨海默型老年性痴呆（SDAT）。检测红细胞、血清、脑脊液和成纤维细胞中SOD含量。DAT皮肤成纤维细胞SOD水平异常。SOD mRNA的变化与SOD蛋白水平的变化密切相关。帕金森病患者红细胞、血清和脑脊液中SOD均明显低于正常对照组。

We examined superoxide dismutase (SOD) in patients with dementia of the Alzheimer type (DAT). The DAT patients were divided into two subgroups as follows : Alzheimer's disease (AD) that develops before 65 years of age and senile dementia of the Alzheimer type (SDAT) that develops after 65 years of age. We examined SOD levels in erythrocyte, serum, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and fibroblast. SOD levels in skin fibroblast of DAT showed abnormality. The change of SOD mRNA was closely correlate with that of protein levels of SOD. SOD in erythrocyte, serum and CSF in Parkinson's disease were significantly lower than those in controls.
