University of Leipzing and early japanese Germanists

日本早期的日裔日耳曼人，藤城帝辅、山口光太郎、关英三郎、北里武、泽井洋一、上田诚司，至今研究甚少。因此，我首先要研究他们的生活。特别是我已经努力疏通了在德国留学的路线。并根据莱比锡大学档案资料，了解日本日耳曼人听过的演讲。他们听到了E.Sievers，J. Escherelt，G.Witkowski，A.Koester和W.Wundt等的讲座。此外，我可以找到在莱比锡学习的地址和条款。当时的德国文学史研究方法正处于繁荣时期（谢勒和凯斯特为代表），但日本的德国学者除上田诚司外，并没有受到这种方法的影响。藤四郎不是历史方法的支持者，但他承认历史方法的优点。山口和泽井似乎对那个地方的德语很感兴趣。北里武用德语写了三部戏剧，这是非常了不起的。

Early japanese Germanists, Teisuke Fujshiro, Kotaro Yamaguchi, Hidesaburo Seki.Takeshi Kitazato, Yoichi Sawai and Seiji Ueda were untill little researched. Therefore I had to research their lives at first. Especially I have tried to clear the route of studying abroad in Germany. And according to materials in archive of Leipzig university I could know lectures which japanese Germanists heard. They heard lectures of E.Sievers, J.Volkelt, G.Witkowski, A.Koester and W.Wundt etc. Further I could find the adresses and terms of studying in Leipzig. At that time in Germany historical method in literary studies was at height of prosperity (W.Scherer and A.Koester were representative), but japanese Germanists except Seiji Ueda were not influenced by it. Ueda published later the work on the hi story of stages of Shakespare dramas. Fujishiro was not supporter of historical method, but he rekognized its merit. Yamaguchi and Sawai seemed rather to be interested in German language in that place. It is very remarkable that Takeshi Kitazato wrote three dramas in German.
