The Historical Geographic Study on the Formation of River Landscape and River Image

京都的卡莫河是一条独一无二的河流，尽管流经如此大的城市，但它仍然保持着良好的水质和美丽的风景，而且它自古以来就作为一个具有典型京都形象的地方而受到许多人的喜爱。在此基础上，运用文献、地图、图片、照片等方法，对古都(平安居)建立后的卡莫河景观进行了重建，并对今天的卡莫河景观及其良好形象的形成时间进行了研究。首先，从水文环境、河流景观和形象三个方面考察了现在的卡莫河。通过对大学生的影像分析，可以看出，目前卡莫河的水质和景观状况是好的，尽管卡莫河沿岸的建筑建设带来了一些麻烦。其次，通过对卡莫河景观和形象的历史研究，发现江户时代早期的河堤修筑对卡莫河的景观和形象产生了强烈的影响。此后，自明治时期以来，琵琶湖修筑索穗运河，使河宽再次变窄，但与现在的卡莫河景观和形象有关的变化，基本上可以看出是在江户时代的卡利江户时期，当时修建了日本神户。

The River Kamo in Kyoto is singular river which has been keeping the water in good quality and beautiful landscape in spite of flowing down such a big city, and also it has been loved with many people as a place having a typical image of Kyoto since old times. Then, we reconstructed the landscape of River Kamo after the establishment of the ancient capital (Heian-Kyo) by using such as literatures, maps, pictures and photographs, and reserched when the landscape and its good image of River Kamo of today had been formed.At first, we examined the present River Kamo from the viewpoints of hydrological environment, river landscape and image. Generally speaking, the present water quality and landscape of River Kamo are good, and it is certified as collect from the image analysis of the university students, in spite of some troubles which caused by the construction of the buildings along River Kamo.Next, at the result of historical research for the landscape and image of River Kamo, it comes clear that the construction of the river dike (Kanbun Shintei) in the early Edo period strongly influenced on the landscape and image of River Kamo. After that, since Meiji period, the construction of The Sosui Canal from Lake Biwa made the width of the river narrow again, but the changes concerned to the landscape and image of the present River Kamo were basically seen at the carly Edo period when the Kanbun Shintei was constructed.
