Development of 2-dimensional hard X-ray sensor using a photon sensor with high sensitivity

研究了高性能硬X射线成像仪的集成系统，用超灵敏的像素光子传感器观察到由无机闪烁体单晶组成的二维纤维束或机器形状的矩形棒阵列。结果表明，拉伸后的纤维细度远小于0.5 mm，很难稳定、均匀地保持预定的直径。结果表明，虽然在1 mm以下不易实现超细小的闪烁体阵列，但机形闪烁体阵列可以提供非常均匀的闪烁体阵列。

The integrated system has been investigated for a high performance hard X-ray imager, where the 2-dimensional array of bundle of fibers or machine shaped rectangular rods made of monolithic crystal of inorganic scintillator are viewed by an ultra sensitive pixel photon sensor. It was found that the pultruded fibers could be finer well below 0.5 mm, they are hard to keep a predetermined diameter stably and uniformly . It has been concluded that the machine shaped one can provide very uniform scintillator array although it is not easy to realize very fine size below 1mm.
