A Study on the Development Process of Rice Industry in Heilongjiang Province

黑龙江省水稻产量从80年代中期开始快速增长，目前已达到日本水稻产量的1.8倍。水稻产量的快速增长主要是由于土地改良投资、主要来自日本的水稻技术转让、通过适应性研究开发和推广适当技术、引进合同生产制度、制度创新和农业保护政策等因素。黑龙江省大米无论在价格上还是质量上都具有国际市场竞争力。从黑龙江省进口到日本的大米将根据日本、韩国和中国之间的FTA谈判结果而增加。

Rice production in Heilongjiang province had started to grow at rapid rates since the middle of the 1980’s, and increased to the level of 1.8 times of the rice production in Japan. The rapid growth in rice production was mainly due to the factors such as land improvement investment, rice technology transfer from mainly Japan, development and extension of appropriate technology through adaptive research, introduction of the contract production system, institutional innovations, and introduction of agriculture protection policies. Heilongjiang rice has competitive power in the international market both in price and quality. Rice imports from Heilongjiang province to Japan will increase depending on the results of FTAnegotiations among Japan, Korea, and China.
