Development at workshop-based education program for fostering foreign student's self-directive discussion abilities

本研究的目的是为日本大学的外国学生开发一种新的教育计划，旨在培养他们的日语讨论能力。最近，日本的外国学生人数一直在增加。他们有望成为日本社会的一员，为日本的全球化和多元文化主义的实现做出贡献。要做到这一点，不仅日本人，而且外国人都需要掌握讨论技巧，使他们能够相互合作，达成共识，解决问题。在此背景下，我们为外国本科生开发了以工作坊为基础的学习计划，让他们获得日语自主讨论的能力。

The purpose of this study is to develop a new educational program for foreign students of Japanese universities that is designed to foster their discussion abilities in Japanese. Recently, the number of foreign students in Japan has been increasing. They are expected to become members of Japanese society and contribute to the globalization and the realization of multi-culturalism in Japan. To achieve this, not only Japanese but also foreign people are required to acquire discussion skills to enable them to cooperate with each other to reach a consensus as well solve problems. With this background, we developed the workshop-based learning program for foreign undergraduates in which they acquire self-supporting discussion abilities in Japanese.
