Effect of climatic change on oral health : a trial of new dental science in collaboration with environmental hygiene

本研究的目的是调查急性口腔症状与各种气候指数的关系。在研究期间，217名患者访问我院的急性牙周问题。每个月的三分之一被视为一个单位，每个单位的患者人数和气候信息用于统计分析。观察到患者数量与平均大气压显著相关（r=0. 310，p<0. 05)和发光时间（r=0. 369，p<0. 05）。这些结果表明急性口腔症状与气候变化可能存在关联。

The purpose of the present study was to investigate an association of acute oral symptom with various climate indices. During the study period, 217 patients visited our hospital with acute periodontal problem. One third of each month was considered as a unit, and the number of patients and climate information in each unit was used for statistical analysis. Significant correlation of the number of patients was observed with mean atmospheric pressure(r=0. 310, p<0. 05) and shining hours(r=0. 369, p<0. 05). These results suggest a possible association of acute oral symptom with climate change.
