Measuring quality of life of people with an intellectual disability: a multidisciplinary perspective

I believe evaluation based on quality of life outcomes has the potential to shift social care provisionfurther towards services which enable people to define and strive for what matters most to them. Withthis PhD I wish to interrogate the reliability and validity of the quality of life measurement tool, tounderstand if it is fit for purpose and whether the benefit it offers justifies the cost to conduct. I want tolook at how scores change over time and geographic location to understand how wider changes in healthand social care, and budget provision, impact at a personal level.
