This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Hypothesis: In HIV-infected, treatment-experienced patients, SCH 417690 will be safe, be generally well-tolerated, and demonstrate antiretroviral activity when used concurrently with a ritonavir-containing antiretroviral regimen. Primary Objective: To evaluate the virologic activity over 14 days of three dose levels of SCH 417690 in HIV-infected, treatment-experienced subjects who are failing their current ritonavir-containing antiretroviral regimen.
