CLINICAL TRIAL: SILENT CEREBRAL INFARCT TRANSFUSION TRIAL (SIT TRIAL)

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The purpose of this study is to: A) Find out if blood transfusion therapy can reduce the risk of new strokes or silent infarcts from occuring in children who have already had a silent infarct. and B) Find out if blood transfusion therapy can help mental development and learning in children who have had a silent infarct.
