We propose to develop optimization and process improvement solutions for Bailey Metal Products. The models will incorporate both customer demand and procurement data so as to optimize the supply chain sourcing and inventory operations related to pre-slitting. It will allow for the possibility of managing demand and supply by taking into account the company internal resources and limitations. The model will then be coded and incorporated in an enterprise resource planning system. Bailey is a Canadian owned and family operated business that sources, processes, forms and delivers cold formed steel (CFS) products to construction projects across Canada. Ultimately this process innovation will help the company enhance its competitiveness through improving its relationship with its supplier and customers.
