Fourier methods of decomposition of data, sampled on multidimensional lattices of any symmetry, are developed by means of introducing several new families of functions orthogonal on the lattices. Related families of orthogonal polynomials are to be described and compared with known polynomials. Several of the families are new. Discretization of the functions and their polynomials is an important original part of the project. Applications include multivariable cubature formula, Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem in any dimension and lattice symmetry, hybrid boundary value problems in n dimensions, and others.
