The interplay between posture and movement is an important characteristic of most of our daily activities as posture most often offers the stable platform for producing a voluntary movement. The work proposed in this research program examines this interplay through classical learning and transfer experimental paradigms. Overall, the research program aims at understanding how balance constraints are integrated into the control and learning of upper-limb movements.
