Visual assessment of the way humans move can be potentially useful for understanding abnormal and potentially harmful body**movements. CURV seeks to apply recent advancements in artificial intelligence to the assessment of human movement. CURVs**technology uses machine learning combined with 2D colour video acquired from ordinary smart phone devices for diagnosis and**guiding rehabilitation. Importantly, this technology has the ability to help health professionals (e.g., physiotherapists) and**careproviders objectively assess and better manage physical rehabilitation. This research project involves testing CURVs**technology, to demonstrate that it is sufficiently accurate to aid in clinical diagnosis, rehabilitation and training. Specifically our**industry partner will work with our clinical scientists and engineers to assemble suitable existing data, collect additional data and**test the accuracy of the CURV systems against gold-standard motion capture systems.
