The TfPLC2 gene is a 2087-bp-long sequence including one open reading frame encoding a polypeptide of 601 amino acids. Northern blot analysis showed that the TfPLC2 gene was expressed predominantly in leaves and stems and at very low levels in other tissues. The expression of TfPLC2 was strongly induced under the conditions of high salt or ABA treatment.
