Professor Ronald DiPerna of the University of California at Berkeley will be principal lecturer at an NSF-CBMS Regional Conference to be held at the University of Miami in January of 1989. The lectures will discuss a number of topics in continuum mechanics such as shock waves, vortex theory, all the scene of timely and significant new developments.
