The reviewers of the DFG project "Digitization of archival sources" recommended using the DFG Viewer for the presentation of the outcome. Therefore it needs to get enhanced in order to support the variety of archival media types like deeds, maps, dossiers, and many more. Furthermore additional generic features are needed to allow page rotating, contrast and brightness regulation and the support of image/map servers for large images. This project aims for the further development of the DFG Viewer to achieve these goals.The DFG Viewer will of course continue to be available as free and open source software, thus everyone can use the enhanced version free of charge either as a web service provided by the SLUB Dresden or as self-operated instance.
