The Project "Basic Research in the History of Philosophy: Wilhelm Windelband" is at this time running as a DFG-Project from November 2015 to October 2018. We are just in time with our schedule and preparing the last steps to bring the project to an end. But there is a good reason to ask the DFG for financing 12 month additionaly. After the start in project in 2016 we got the information from the Archive of the University Sendai in Japan, that there are about twenty notebooks of Windelband for his lectures at Straßburg and Heidelberg University and for unwritten books. Until then it was a general conviction that all the manuscripts from Windelband were lost in Second World War. Therefore this discovery was unpredictable and not a mistake of calculation in the project schedule. Because the new material is so important for the understanding of Windelbands written books and his influence as one of the most influential university teachers around 1900, it would be a mistake to neglect it. It is much more a substantial supplement to the entire project. The addition of the new to the already prepared material will increase the value of the project.
