VD 18: Cataloguing and Digitization of lmprints Published in the 18th Century in the German-speaking Area of Europe from the Collections of Kiel University Library

The project is part of the national programme "Digitisation and Cataloguing of lmprints Published in the 18th Century in the German-Speaking Area of Europe" (VD 18). lt refers to the DFG's call for proposals for the 2nd turn of the main phase of the VD 18-project. The aim of the project is to catalogue the imprints assigned to Kiel University Library in the catalogue of the "Gemeinsamer Bibliotheksverbund" (according to old book cataloguing standards and VD-18-rules). Then these monographs will be digitized according to the DFG digitisation rules and be released for publication in open access on the web platform of Kiel University Library, in the "Zentrales Verzeichnis Digitalisierter Drucke (ZVDD)", the "Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek" and the "Europeana". Within two years 900 titles with about 117.000 images will be catalogued, digitized and published.
