本研究は、近世前期における儒者の政治的・社会的な需要を解明することを目的とし、ⅰ藩政における儒者と軍学者の役割の解明、ⅱ幕政における禅僧から儒者への役割交替の過程の解明、ⅲ儒者・軍学者・禅僧の政治的役割などの比較を行うものである。今年度は、儒者が担った政治的な役割及びその社会的な存在形態について検討を進めた。軍学者・禅僧との比較については、前年度の成果を踏まえつつ、今後さらに研究を進めていく。本年度の実績としては、まず①「書評 平野仁也著『江戸幕府の歴史編纂事業と創業史』」（『史林』105 (4), 2022年7月）を発表した。本書は近世を通じて行われた江戸幕府による歴史編纂事業を扱ったものだが、そのような事業の主要な担い手には儒者林家が含まれており、本研究とも密接な関わりを有する重要な研究である。次に、学会報告として、②「儒者の身分と集団―近世前期林家における家中と門人集団―」（大阪歴史学会近世史部会１月例会、2023年1月）を行った。近世前期の儒者である林家がどのような集団を形成し、どのような社会的な関係の網の中で活動していたか、という基礎的な事実について、家中組織および門人集団という二つの観点から検討した。論文として、③「近世前期の政治と儒者―家綱政権における林鵞峰を中心に―」が発表予定である。そこでは、幕府に出仕した林家を対象に、彼らが幕府の政治機構の中で具体的にどのような位置にあり、どのような役割を担っていたのかを明らかにし、その活動が近世日本の儒学浸透過程に対していかなる影響を有したかを論じた。また、前年度に学会報告を行った研究成果、及び本年度の学会報告（②）の研究成果については論文化を進めている。

This study is aimed at explaining the political and social needs of Confucian scholars in the early modern period, explaining the service division of Confucian scholars and military scholars in the feudal period, explaining the process of service division alternation of Buddhist monks and military scholars in the late modern period, and comparing the service division of Confucian scholars and Buddhist monks in the political period. This year, the Confucian scholars are responsible for the political and social forms of existence. Military scholars, Zen monks and scholars compare the achievements of the previous year, step on the achievements, and study in the future. This year's achievements are reflected in ① "Review of Hitoya Hirano's" History of Edo Shogunate and History of Entrepreneurship "(Shilin 105 (4), July 2022). This book is an important study on the close connection between the modern times and the history compilation cause. Second, the Society report, ② "Confucian identity and group-early modern Lin family and family members group-"(Osaka History Society Modern History Department January meeting, January 2023). In the early modern times, Confucian scholars formed a network of social relations, activities, basic events, family organizations, and student groups. Thesis 3:"Early Modern Politics and Confucianism-Family Policy and Politics". The Shogunate's political organization was established in 1949, and its activities were closely related to the influence of Confucianism on modern Japan. The research results of the previous year's Institute report and the research results of the current year's Institute report (②) are discussed in detail.
