项目摘要

本研究では、用法基盤モデルに基づいてインドネシア語の受身標識の一つである接頭辞ter-について考察を行った。当該年度には、このテーマに関して１件の国際会議での口頭発表、2件の国内会議での口頭発表、2件の学術論文の発表を行った。第一に、前年度に行った受身文における動作主の標示形式の選択要因の研究を継続した。階層ベイズモデルを用いて回帰分析を行うことで、前年度の研究で主張した動詞の意味や動作主の性質に加えて、共起する名詞の偏りなど動詞固有の特徴が選択に影響を与えることを明らかにした。これにより一般的傾向から逸脱していた例文に対し、その理由付けを行うことが可能になった。さらにこの研究は、現在言語学において盛んに用いられている回帰分析において、個々の動詞の差異を分析するためにそれらをランダム効果として考慮したことを特徴とする。このように一般的傾向に加えてランダム効果として考慮した個々の動詞を同時に分析することは、具体的知識と抽象的なルールの共存を認める用法基盤モデルの考え方と合致しており、今後重要性が増すと考えられる。第二に、接頭辞ter-と類似した意味を持つ接辞ke-anとの比較を行った。特に知覚動詞に接続して「～に見える」という意味を表す場合に注目し、ある言語形式は周囲のあらゆる情報によって決まるという考え方に基づいたBehavioral Profileという手法により調査を行った。結果として基本的に接頭辞ter-の使用が卓越するが、動作の対象が具体物の場合に限り接辞ke-anの使用が増加することを明らかにした。そしてこのことは通言語的な受身文標識の意味ネットワークから説明可能であることを主張した。
