项目摘要

本研究では尾道におけるマージナルな場所である漁師町・吉和エリアと、歓楽街として栄えた新開エリアにおける「地域の宝」とも言える「星劇団」と「洋酒喫茶ロダン」に焦点を当てた調査をアーティストや協力者とともに行なった。①吉和エリア：1946年に吉和で結成された「星劇団」についてのリサーチをアーティスト・イン・レジデンスの招聘アーティスト・横谷奈歩とともに展開している。その成果をベースに、様々な領域の専門家（地域史、民俗学、演劇、美術）や協力者とともに「星劇団」にまつわるエピソードをの演劇として再構成し、2023年3月に吉和の正徳浜に立地する冷凍倉庫跡地で収録公演を行った。本年度は、公演当日に撮影した記録映像を、撮影に携わった映像作家、黒田教裕に依頼をして編集作業を進めた。編集方針についてやりとりを重ね、演劇の内容にクローズアップするだけでなく、複数のカメラで撮影した素材を活用し、公演が行われた場を取り巻く環境や地域の方のリアクションなど多角的な視点を織り交ぜつつ、質の高い映像としてまとめることができた。また、参加者や関係者の振り返りの機会および演劇を当日見ることが出来なかった地域の方が鑑賞できる機会として、吉和地区のいきいきサロンで上映会を2回実施した。上映の際、アーティストトークと地域の方を交えた座談会を行い、再演を見た感想や、思い出した当時の記憶などについて語ってもらい、その模様を映像で記録した。また、公演に至るまでの一連の活動内容を文字データとしてまとめた。②新開エリア：尾道新開エリアの名店「洋酒喫茶ロダン」店内は「驚異の部屋」の様相を呈した「地域の宝」であり、また文化サロンでもあった。本年度も通年で、主に戦後すぐの状況に焦点を当てた聞き取りを「洋酒喫茶ロダン」店主に行い、様々な貴重なエピソードを収集することができた。また店内の記録撮影を推進した。
