2022年度は、昨年度に引き続き①分析の枠組みに関する理論的研究、②過去の図書館の活動事例に関する資料収集とその分析による歴史的研究、③個別の図書館に関する事例調査、の3つの側面から研究をおこなった。①地域拠点としての図書館像に関する理論的研究を、文献調査等によりおこなった。この作業を通して、後述する事例調査に向けた調査の枠組みを構築した。②過去において地域で学習機会に恵まれない子ども等を対象とした学習支援の取り組みをおこなっていた東北地区の図書館について、当時の報告書等をもとに分析を進めている。あわせて、旧大橋図書館の蔵書を引継ぐ三康図書館の見学会に参加し、図書館の活動に関する歴史的理解を深めた。③個別の調査については、島嶼部において地域を巻き込んだ取り組みをおこなっている自治体の視察ツアーに参加し、自治体としての地域おこし施策について調査をおこなった。あわせて同自治体の図書館を訪問して取り組み状況について予備調査をおこなうとともに、同図書館の特色となっている地域に複数設置された図書コーナーの見学をおこなった。この事例については更なる追加調査を計画している。また、複合施設において図書館と子育て支援にかかわる首長部局との連携を進めている事例を訪問し、その取り組みについて調査をおこなった。さらに、郷土にもかかわる歴史的資料のデジタル化・オンライン公開を進めている大学図書館を訪問し、その取り組みについて調査をおこなった。さらに、過年度の調査結果の再分析により、日本教育制度学会第29回大会課題別セッション「公私協働体制の維持発展における人材の確保・育成の現状と課題」において報告をおこなった。訪問調査については他にも候補を想定していたが、調査日程の調整がつかず、その分は2023年度の実施を予定している。
