本研究は造形美術教育における子どもの〈問い〉と教師の発問の関係を捉え、子どもの〈問い〉から主体的・創造的な学びの実現を目指す発問を中心とした授業の方法論を理論的・実践的研究を通して構築することを目的とするものである。2022年度の研究は、理論的研究から図画工作科の実践研究へ展開させた。理論的研究から導き出した仮説に基づき、実践的に検証を行った。主体的・創造的な学びの実現は、活動を展開する子ども自身が〈問い〉を持つことで実現する。図画工作科の表現活動では、表したいことをもつことで、例えば「表したいことをどのようにすれば表すことができるのだろうか」という問いを持つことができる。そして、子どもが考え、試みることなどを通してこの問いを解決すること、つまり、作品等へ実現することで主体的な学びが実現していく。これを学びの構造とし、これと対応するように発問を構成する。発問が子どもの思考を促すからである。この仮説に基づき、図画工作科の授業で実践を試みた。その際には、その際は、社会科教育の研究者である片上宗二の提案する授業を方向付ける「授業構成レベルの発問」と状況に応じて働きかける「授業展開レベルの発問」をあらかじめ用意することとした。そのうえで、実践を試みた結果、この考えに基づく発問構成は子どもの主体的な学びを促すこと、また、題材の特徴に応じて発問を構成することができることを確認することができた。なお、この研究成果は論文「図画工作科における主体的な学びの実現を目指す指導方法に関する研究―学びの構造と授業の構造、または発問構成について―」としてまとめ、美術科養育学会の学会誌『美術教育学』において発表した。
