格差維持過程にどのような心理メカニズムが寄与しているのかを明らかにするために，（A）相補的ステレオタイプを用いたシステム正当化傾向の検討，（B）格差拡大が現状を維持するイデオロギーの支持に及ぼす効果の検討，（C）保有資源の格差と原因が協力行動に与える影響について検討を行った．（A）に関しては，クラウドソーシングで参加者を募集し，主観的社会階層を測定した上で，日本に対する脅威の顕現化を操作し，社会的地位の高い職業と低い職業のイメージ（温かさ次元と有能さ次元）に回答させた．結果として，1) 地位に基づく相補的ステレオタイプが見られ，2）男性参加者においては脅威が顕現化すると相補的ステレオタイプの表明が強まり，3）主観的社会階層によってこれらの効果が調整されない，ことが見いだされた．（B）に関しては，クラウドソーシングで参加者を募集し，世帯収入で社会階層を測定し，格差拡大記事への接触の有無を操作し，保守的イデオロギーへの態度に回答させた．結果として，男性参加者では，右翼権威主義尺度の因習主義因子と社会支配傾向尺度の平等主義因子において，統制条件では世帯収入が高いほど保守的であったものが，格差が顕現化するとそのような傾向が見られなくなった．女性参加者では，社会支配傾向尺度の平等主義因子において，世帯収入が高いと格差が顕現化すると保守的になることがみいだされた．（C）に関しては，多くの参加者を一度に参加できるようにシステムを組み試験的に実験を行ったが，システム上に問題が生じたため小規模な予備実験にとどまっている．理論的検討として，システム正当化理論に関して，「Jost, J. T. (2020), System justification theory. Harvard University Press.」の翻訳を共編者として出版した．

(A) A study on the justification tendency of complementary factors,(B) a study on the support and results of differences in the maintenance of status quo,(C) a study on the causes of differences in the maintenance of resources, and (C) a study on the cooperative actions and effects. (A) In relation to the recruitment of participants, the main social strata are measured, and the threat of Japan is manipulated. The social status of the participants is high and low. The results showed that: 1) the status of the participants was complementary to each other, 2) the male participants were more likely to be threatened, 3) the social class of the participants was more likely to be affected, and 3) the social class of the participants was more likely to be affected. (B) The participants were recruited, the social class of the world was measured, the contact between the social class and the social class was determined, and the attitude of the conservative social class was answered. The results showed that male participants had a negative influence on the right-wing authoritarian scale and on the social dominance scale and on the egalitarian scale. The female participants were influenced by the egalitarian factor of social dominance, and the social inclusion was high and conservative. (C) However, as many participants participated in the test at one time, problems arose on the test room and small-scale preparations were made. Jost, J. T. (2020), System justification theory.
