项目摘要

研究目的(1) 「墓地の多様化と墓地問題の両者に対応する、墓園再整備事例の抽出」に対応して、北海道ない１７９自治体に対するアンケート調査を実施し７７自治体から回答を得た。その結果、無縁墳墓の問題の進行、合葬墓造成の機運の高まりを確認することができた。また、研究目的(2) 「遺骨問題と『自然に還る』葬送ニーズに対応する自然葬としての樹木葬墓地の形態抽出」と研究目的(3)「住民参加などを取り入れた、都市のオープンスペースとしての墓園計画の策定プロセス」に対応して、自治体が実施した過去の住民アンケート結果のサーヴェイを行うとともに、住民団体などへのヒアリング調査を実施した。５つの政令指定都市の住民アンケート結果より、合葬墓へのニーズの高まりや、樹木葬墓地への関心の高まりを読み取ることができた。ヒアリングからは、近年の墓地埋葬に関する市民の不安や「終活」の実情に関する情報を収集した。
