2022年度(3年計画の2年目)は昨年度に引き続き、大規模なリアルワールデータでありレセプトデータを含むDPCデータベースを活用した皮膚科領域疾患の研究を推進した。その成果を2つの国際学会で発表（口頭発表1回、ポスター発表1回）し、3報の査読あり英文原著論文「Association between psoriasis and short-term outcomes of acute myocardial infarction: A matched-pair cohort study using a nationwide inpatient database in Japan」「Clinical course and outcomes of pemphigus vulgaris and foliaceus: a retrospective study using a nationwide database in Japan」「Trends in mortality and morbidity of bullous pemphigoid before and after approval of intravenous immunoglobulin in Japan: An interrupted time-series analysis」が受理された。また、皮膚感染症に関連して皮膚常在真菌であるカンジダの研究が、査読あり英文原著論文として1報が「Epidermal clearance of Candida albicans is mediated by IL-17 but independent of fungal innate immune receptors 」受理された。一方、厚生労働省からデータ提供の承認を既に得ていたレセプト情報・特定健診等情報データベース(NDB)は、当初の予定よりも大幅に遅れて2023年3月に集計表情報が提供された。そのため、本年度は当該データを活用した研究発表は出来なかったが、第42回医療情報学連合大会（第23回日本医療情報学会学術大会）の公募シンポジウム3の演者として登壇した。同シンポジウムでは「皮膚科臨床医によるNDB活用の取り組みと今後への期待」の演題で、これまでに取り組んだオープンデータの活用事例とNDBに対する今後への期待を述べ、データ提供まで長時間を要することなどの問題点を提示し議論した。
