项目摘要

昨年度に引き続き、本年度も、重点的に検討する問題（13・14世紀のカタルーニャにおいて、君主代官をめぐって君主と都市はどのような関係を構築していったのか、そして、その関係が君主が企図した権力強化にどのような影響を及ぼしたのか）に取り組む第一段階として、史料の調査・分析をおこなった。しかしながら、夏期の調査については、渡航の計画段階において、帰国時の制限が部分的に継続されていたことなどから断念した。これに伴い、調査方法とその成果・学会での成果報告については、「研究実施計画」の部分的な見直しを余儀なくされた。具体的には、2023年3月に現地調査を実施し、その他の時期には、文書館の史料目録を活用して、現地調査の際に複写・分析すべき古文書を選定し、並行して本研究課題に関連する先行研究を精読した。その結果、得られた知見は以下のとおりである。現地調査の結果、（詳細な分析対象候補としていた）バルセロナの司法官選任をめぐる係争を伝える一連の古文書には、損傷により判読不能な箇所が多くあり、全容を解読することは困難であることが判明した。一方、史料目録の調査からは、この係争でバルセロナの都市自治体が選任に異議を唱えていたルメウ・ダ・マリモンが、その後、バルセロナの司法官として活動したことを伝える古文書の存在が明らかとなった。また、先行研究の精読により、ルメウ・ダ・マリモンが、君主の統治機構の要職を歴任した人物であり、その子孫にはバルセロナ市参事会員が複数存在することを確認した。以上のことから、この人物は、君主とバルセロナ市のあいだの中間的な存在だった可能性があり、君主代官をめぐる君主とバルセロナ市の関係を明らかにするために、十分に検討すべき事例だと思われる。今後は、彼のより詳細な経歴、バルセロナ市の社会における地位・立場・諸関係などを把握するとともに、上述の古文書を可能な限り解読する必要がある。

The relationship between the monarch and the city is obvious. In the future, they will be able to grasp the social status, position and relationship of the city, and the above ancient books will be able to solve the problem.
