2022年度は、（1）過去に実施した障害のある有権者・議員に対するアンケート調査の分析をすすめるとともに、（2）①障害者団体に対する聞き取り調査を実施した。（1）については、障害のある議員に対する調査を分析した結果、①時期を問わず、障害のある地方議員の約60～70％が、障害者団体を含む価値推進団体を経て立候補に至っている、②ただし、約30～40％は障害者団体等を経ずに立候補しており、2000年代後半以降は政党の主催する政治塾や公募制の活用が広がっている、③2000年代以降、聴覚障害がある議員の割合や女性議員の割合が増加している、④障害者団体、福祉団体、労働組合、自治会・町内会を主要な支持基盤である、という4点が明らかとなった。総じて、①これらのキャリアや社会的属性の面で多様化が、障害者議員の量的増加の背景にあること、②障害者議員の主要な支持基盤が障害者団体等であることは、障害者議員の多寡が地域の障害者運動や市民運動の強さに依存する可能性があること、③いっぽうで、公募制や政治塾の活用が広がっていることは、政党の取り組み次第で、障害のある候補者・議員を増加させ得ることを示しており、安定的に障害のある人々が議会へ参画するためには、政党による候補者の掘り起こし、選挙支援、活動の支援が必要であることが示された。分析結果の一部は、『都市問題』（後藤・安田記念東京都市研究所）、『月刊We Learn』（日本女性学習財団）などで公表した。また、（2）については、2023年度末には障害のある団体にインタビュー調査を実施した。分析結果は、2023年度以降に随時公表する予定である。
