避難指示解除区域に帰還した男性高齢者を対象にして研究代表者が企画するサロンが、町民がつながる人間関係の復興の場、コミュニティ再構築に向けた議論の場として成熟し、リーダーシップが醸成され、自発的に住民を主導していくプロセスを検証することが目的である。男性高齢者のコミュニティ参加を促すサロンのアウトカム評価を目指すものである。研究代表者が中心となって、男性高齢者の社会参加を促す目的で2018年から男性限定のサロンを実践してきたものを継続実施するものである。サロン実施にあたり、連携先の担当者と打合せを行い、実施許可および協力体制を整え、年間計画を立て実施する。2022年度もCOVID-19の影響から、医療機関等の町の資源や高齢者のリスクを考えて、対象者を一堂に会すことが難しく開催がかなわなかった。また、事前に計画したとしても、感染動向の変化で中止を余儀なくされることもあった。しかしながら、これまでの成果をまとめ、英文の原著論文として公表することができた。論文に使用したデータから、自発的に住民を主導していく方法としてディスカッションを用いることの意義を改めて確認できた。2023年度も現地の担当者と打合せを綿密に行ったうえで開催ニーズや会の方向性を確認しながら、コロナ禍でも実施可能な方法で開催していく。本課題の目的達成に向けて参加者の自発性を引き出せるように、実践するうえでの課題や解決策の検討といった話題のディスカッションに時間をかけ、徐々に構築していく。
