项目摘要

令和4年度における当初の研究計画は、国内外に向けた研究成果の発信を予定していた。しかしながら、前年度（令和3年度）に新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大により、現地調査を実施することができなかったため、令和4年度はケニアの首都ナイロビでの現地調査を実施した。また、補足的な調査として、日本における金属加工の集積地である東大阪市、新潟県燕三条で工場訪問を実施し、金属加工のものづくりに関する分析視角を得た。加えて、これまでの研究成果をまとめ、学会・研究会で報告するとともに、国際学術雑誌への投稿準備を進めた。今年度の具体的な研究成果は以下の通りである。第一に、前年度に実施したオンライン調査を踏まえて、ケニアのナイロビにおける小規模零細の金属加工の事業者にものづくりの実態と資金調達に関するインタビュー調査を実施した。同地区ではインフォーマルあるいはセミフォーマルな金属加工が行われているが、技術加工度は機械を用いていることもあり比較的高く、長期的な資金調達の需要が高い。そのため、ケニアで広範に用いられているモバイル・バンキングの利用は限定的であることがわかった。第二に、日本における金属加工の集積地である東大阪市および燕三条での製造業者への聞き取り調査を行い、金属加工の製造過程を分析する上での分析視角を獲得した。これを踏まえて、現地では企業者的能力に関する質的なインタビュー調査を実施した。第三に、以上の現地調査を踏まえて、国際開発学会や金融デジタル化研究会等で研究会成果の報告を行い、フィードバックを得た。これを踏まえて、国際学術雑誌への投稿準備を進めた。
