项目摘要

本研究は、ヨルダン、モロッコの比較事例研究を通し、中東の強権的な君主制が統治機構を利用して社会的なエリートを統制するプロセスの実態を明らかにすることを目的とするものである。本研究は特に、社会構成（特にエスニシティ）や制度配置（特に政党組織の配置）に注目し、中東君主制における社会エリート統制を探求している。この課題を達成するため、本研究では、1. ヨルダン・モロッコ両国を対象に、1992年から2019年の閣僚人事動向、および閣僚経験者の経歴と、社会的地位に関する情報を収集するとともに、2. 両国の同時期における政党システムの発展の経路を追い、3. その関係性を考察するという構想を持っている。本研究の開始以来、コロナ禍によって現地調査が実施できていなかったが、本年度はヨルダンでの調査を1度実施することができた。資料収集に加え、現地の研究者やジャーナリストとの意見交換を行い、本研究の分析枠組みに関するポジティブな反応が得られた。得られたコメントを反映しながら、収集した資料の分析を加えることにより、研究を前進させている。現地調査に加え、本年度も研究成果発信を行った。昨年度までは質的な研究成果発信が中心であったが、今年度は初めて量的な観点からの分析を行った研究成果発信を行った。これにより、本研究課題で明らかにしてきたヨルダン君主制における社会エリート統制メカニズムへの理解を多角的に深めることができた。
