项目摘要

2022年度は主にBLマンガの内容分析、及び読者の言説分析を行った。マンガの内容分析に関しては、膨大な作品群から多くの支持を得ている人気作品に、読者の好み、及び広く共有されるファンタジーの傾向が反映されると考えるため、一定の時期において普遍的に受容される作品を取り上げ、とりわけファンタジーの構造を表す媒体としての男性キャラクターの身体表現に焦点を当て、BLファンタジーの構造とその系譜を浮き彫りにした。上記の分析結果を2022年6月18日開催の日本マンガ学会第21回大会で、「BLマンガの男性キャラクターの身体描写にみる『男』同士をめぐるファンタジー」というテーマで発表した。上記を踏まえ、ファンタジーを表す媒体としての男性キャラクターに投影される読者の眼差しを明らかにするために、インターネットでの読者投稿を取り上げ、キャラクターの身体表現をめぐる読者の言説を考察した。上記の調査結果を2022年9月18日開催のカルチュラル・タイフーン2022大会で発表した上で、「身体を語る、身体が語る：男性キャラクターの身体描写にみる『BLファンタジーの存在論』」というタイトルの論文にまとめ、『ジェンダー研究』No.26に投稿した（一次査読結果A判定とB判定、2023年4月時点提出済の修正稿再査読中）。本論文では、精神分析とフェミニズムの論点を基に、BLマンガにおける身体表現の変容と系譜、及び読者の眼差しと欲望を分析することを通じて、BLファンタジーの構造化と理論化を試みた。従来のBL研究において、男同士の親密関係への女性の「妄想」の仕組の分析はあったものの、BLを一種の作品の「ジャンル」として扱い、このジャンルにおいて共有される構造、及びこの構造が現在まで定着した系譜を明らかにし、BLを分析するための理論構築を試みたことは、これまでのBL研究において大きな理論的貢献をもたらしたと考える。
