令和4年度の研究成果は、4つに分類できる。(1) アンケート調査を用いたマクロ経済分析、(2)ニューケインジアンモデルと行動経済学の融合、(3) 行動経済学・行動科学の経済分析、(4) 低金利環境のマクロ経済分析、である。まず、(1)では、中園は、独自のアンケート調査を用いた日本のインフレ予想の分析、相馬は、新聞報道とインフレ予想の関係の分析を行い、ともに学術誌に公刊した。(2)では、YooはDiagnostic Expectationsとニューケインジアンモデルの融合をさらに推し進め、現在、学術誌の査読の最終段階にある。廣瀬は、より高度な自然利子率の計測方法の分析、片山と敦賀は、金融政策効果の分析を行い、学術誌に公刊した。(3)では、明坂は消費者のリスク態度に研究として、貧困者が直面する給与の周期的な変動に着目し、所得の受け取り前後で貧困者のリスク態度に変化が起こりうることを明らかにした。このようなリスク態度の一時的な変化は、家計行動の最適さに影響を与えるため、行動マクロ経済学において重要な発見である。敦賀はこのほかにも家計や銀行部門がマクロ経済の一般均衡効果を見誤まる(misperceive)ことで、金融危機が起こりやすくなるモデル、家計が資産の保有動機が強い場合、マクロ経済が長期停滞に陥るモデルを構築している。片山は日本の官僚の残業のパターンについて、行動科学的な経済分析を行っている。最後に(4)では、敦賀は低金利下の財政政策効果をシミュレーション分析し、財政政策に関する情報の効果についての分析を行った。また、小枝は、期間構造の計量モデルの分析を行い、ゼロ金利といった低金利環境において、長期金利がどのような変動パターンに従ったのかを明らかにした。この分析は、期待の役割を重視する金融・財政政策の分析にも極めて重要である。
