项目摘要

11月にニュージーランドで行われた「オーストラリア・ニュージーランド応用言語学学会(ALAA/ALANZ conference）」にて、研究発表を行った。発表題目は「The roles of language proficiency and study abroad in Japanese students’ receptive pragmatic competence」で、語用論的能力の2つの側面（アイロニーとメタ語用論的知識）について、留学プログラムに参加した学生と、国内で通常授業を受けた学生の語用論的能力を比較測定した研究を報告した。また、3月には、シンガポールで行われたRELC学会に参加し、第二言語としての語用論の習得に関する研究発表や研究者との情報交換を行った。語用論研究者であるオタゴ大学（ニュージーランド）のMinh Nguyen氏と将来的な共同研究の可能性を探った。リサーチアシスタントとともに実験に使用する教材を作成し、研究代表者の所属する学部の学生を対象に12月から3月にかけて、データ収集を行った。すでに取得したデータをもとに論文「Investigating a failed novel test of socio-pragmatic knowledge」を共同執筆、国際ジャーナルResearch Methods in Applied Linguisticsより１編の採用が決定した。また、John Benjaminsより出版される編著(A. Martinez-Flor, A. Sanchez Hernandez, & J. Baron 「L2 Pragmatics in Action. Teachers, learners and the teaching-learning interaction process」)の章「Proficiency effects on L2 pragmatics」を分担執筆した。
