コロナ感染症問題は2021年度も収束せず、そのために2021年度の研究計画の遂行は、次年度2022年度まで時間を要した。この間、研究体制と研究基盤をより強化しつつ、オンライン（OL）を駆使し、またコロナ感染症の増減の波をぬって／状況打開を受け関係機関の訪問や国内外のフィールド調査を実施し、メンバー各自の実証分析作業も進めた。第1に、文献収集等を継続した。第2に、既に設定した研究基盤と9つの研究テーマにかかる作業状況を検証し（OL全体会合（2021年9月））、メンバー各自の分担作業を加速した。具体的には、水産資源保護法、漁獲規制の法政策、河川環境、国際認証、アイヌ民族のサケ漁業権訴訟、アイヌのサケ漁と北米先住民との比較、生態系サービスにおけるサケ、孵化放流と野生魚を含む資源管理等を扱った。第3に、多様な分野の専門家を招いてOLカフェを継続した（2021年10月、2022年1月）。第4に、コロナ感染症の状況改善に伴い、国内外での対面での関係機関の訪問やフィールド調査を勢力的に実施した。道東及び道南における資源管理と孵化放流事業に関する調査（網走漁協ヒヤリング（2021年12月）、日高管内サケ溯上動態調査（2022年9月））、アイヌ民族の生業や生活等に関する調査（阿寒湖アイヌ協会、釧路市博物館等（2022年8月））、研究協力者を含む専門家交流、国際比較にかかる実態調査、国際認証にかかる世界動向の把握のための海外調査（バンクーバー（2022年10月）、サンフランシスコ（11月）、ボストン（2023年3月））である。第5に、中間成果を踏まえた国際比較のため、米国の研究協力者との専門書合評会（2021年9月、OL）に加え、北米の専門家2名（アラスカ、米国西海岸）を招き北太平洋サケ資源管理に関する国際ワークショップを開催し、有益な知見を得た（2023年3月、OL）。
