项目摘要

本研究課題の目的は以下の3点の問題を考えることにある。第一に、1990年代以降、「男女共同参画」と「女性活躍」の政治が行われてきたにもかかわらず、なぜ日本ではいまだに高い程度のジェンダー不平等が観察されるのか、どのような要因が政治目標としてのジェンダー平等の実現を阻んでいるのか明らかにする。第二に、ジェンダー平等を実現するためにはどういった政治的変化が必要であり、そのためには政治過程をどのように編成する必要があるのか、政治学の知見と分析方法を動員して模索する。その上で、第三に、政治的／経済的地位の向上、経済的達成、自己実現を重視するリベラリズムに根ざしたジェンダーの政治は、ジェンダー平等を実現することにおいて限界をはらむのか、もしそうであるのならば、この問題をどのように克服できるのか考察する。以上の問題に取り組むため、本研究課題は日本におけるデモクラシー政治のあり方、有権者のジェンダー意識と理解、労働政策、市民運動、ジェンダーに関わる言説政治という問題領域を設定し、それぞれの問題領域で上記の問題を考察し、一定の知見を提示することを目指した。そのためにも、当初の計画では、密接な研究グループを構築し、その上で、研究グループ以外の国内外の研究者を招聘して、意見交換を行う、また、国内外の政治学の学会で研究成果を発表することでフィードバックを得て、それぞれの考察に磨きをかけることを目論んでいたが新型コロナ感染拡大により研究グループの構築や研究者を招聘しての研究会の開催が不可能な状況で研究計画を進めざるを得なかった。そこで、代替策として、各自の研究課題をそれぞれで進めるかたわら、オンラインを主体とした調査を行う計画に着手した。
