项目摘要

本研究の目的は、母語における「構造構築及び言語使用の仕組み」を明らかにすることにある。特に①機能範疇を伴う依存関係に注目し、構造構築の要となる操作である「併合(Merge)」がどのように統語表示を生成し、その表示がインターフェイスにおいてどのように解釈を受けるか、「構造」「意味」「語用」の３視点より包括的な研究を行い、②更に①の研究成果を、カーボ・ベルデ語を含む多様な言語データによって多角的に検証し、最終的には個別言語間差異を統一的に捉える言語システムの構築を目指す。上記の研究目的を達成する為に、２０２２年度は以下の研究を中心に行った。２０２１年度に主に行った日本語分裂文の研究を更に発展させ、統語構造と意味解釈の関係を「ラベル」の観点から考察した。Chomskyによる「ラベル付けアルゴリズム(labeling algorithm)」では、特定のラベル<phi, phi>が複数の統語的構築物(syntactic object)に対して与えられることとなり、意味解釈の際にそれぞれの構文を区別することが出来ないことを指摘した。この問題に対し、一致とラベル付けの「タイミング」に注目することにより、解決できる可能性があることを提案した。この提案の下では、これまで一律に<phi, phi>とされていた複数の構築物を主要部の性質によってラベル付けすることが可能となり、意味や音の解釈を行うインターフェイスにおいて統語表示を区別することが可能となることを示した。また、２０２２年度は研究成果を一般の読み手、聞き手に対して分かり易く解説することに注力し、本プロジェクトの成果を社会へ還元出来るように努めた。
