2022年5月に、L2スピーキングにおける産出語数の増加メカニズムに関する論文が出版した。先行研究において、スピーキング能力とスピーキングの産出語数には高い相関があることが明らかになっているため、産出語数をスピーキング能力の代替指標として分析を行なった。その結果、従属接続詞、等位接続詞、強調詞、名詞、前置詞句、現在形の使用頻度が評価基準となることが示唆された。言語テストの習熟度尺度はテストごとにその評価基準が異なるが、テストの点数や習熟度以外にも有効な評価基準を検討することは有用であると考えられる。2023年2月に、研究者のみならず高等学校などの英語科教員を対象とした学会において、研究成果を招待講演の枠組みの中で公表した。本科研がこれまで研究発表を行うことのなかった学会であったため、さまざまな領域に関心を持つ聴衆と幅広い意見交換を行うことができた。そして2022年度を通して、2021年度に行なった2件の研究発表の内容を精緻化させるために更なる分析と先行研究の読み込みを進めた。また新たな観点を加えた質的な分析も進めた。日本人英語学習者の縦断的発話コーパス（Longitudinal Corpus of Spoken English: LOCSE)を利用して、Biber et al. (2011) を再検証しており、句・節の複雑性という観点から、高校生の発話における文法的複雑性の時間的変化の分析を行なっている。語彙的複雑性にも着目して、どのような言語的複雑性がスピーキング力の発達を予測するために貢献するのかを明らかにする研究を進めている。研究成果は新年度に公表される予定である。

In May 2022, the number of output words increased and the related papers were published. The first research is to analyze the output of the system. The frequency of the use of the word, the subordinate word, the equivalent word, the accent word, the noun, the preceding word, and the present form is evaluated. The speech proficiency scale is different from the evaluation criteria, and the number of points in the speech proficiency scale is different from the evaluation criteria. In February 2023, the researchers and English teachers in colleges and universities were invited to present their research results to the public. This scientific research has been carried out in the form of research and development, and the society has been concerned about the exchange of opinions among the public. In 2022, the content of the research report was refined, and the analysis was carried out in advance. The new point is to add quality to the analysis. Biber et al.(2011) re-examine the use of the Longitudinal Corpus of Spoken English (LOCSE) by Japanese English learners. The complexity of words and expressions is closely related to the complexity of speech. The results of the research are scheduled for the new year.
