项目摘要

本研究の目的は、日本人外国語学習者が当該言語の複合名詞と複雑述語構文を習得する際に、Snyder (2001) によって提案された複合パラメータが関係しているかどうかを検証することである。本研究における本質的な問いは、「複合パラメータが心理的に実在するのか」であり、Slabakova (2002) での調査に基づく主張が他の母語話者でも実証できるのかを検証しようとするものである。2022年度は前年度までにオンラインでのミーティングを重ねながら作り上げた調査項目を日本人英語学習者105名を対象に実施した。調査項目には「強い結果構文」、「弱い結果構文」、「句動詞」、「複合名詞」の４種類を含めた。調査項目作成の際、最後まで議論がまとまらなかった「複合名詞」については、2021年度中幾度にも渡り、項目を練り直すこととなったが、実際に調査を実施してみると大変興味深い結果が得られた。2021年度の調査項目作成時の最大の問題点とは、被験者が回帰的に語を併合させてより大きな語 (= 複合名詞) を造り出すことが可能かどうかを問うには、どのような調査項目が最適かどうかという点であった。この点に関しては最後まで粘り強く協議を繰り返しながら最終決定に至り、また調査実施においても調査後の聞き取りを含むフォローアップ調査の実施といった工夫を凝らしながら問題点については解消できたように思う。今後は得られたデータをまとめて発表に専念していく予定である。

The purpose of this study is to prove that Japanese foreign language learners have the ability to acquire compound nouns and predicates of the language, as suggested by Snyder (2001). The essential question of this study is: "complex psychological reality". Slabakova (2002) argues that the investigation is based on evidence for other native speakers. In 2022, 105 Japanese English learners participated in the survey. The survey items include four categories: "strong middle result structure,""weak middle result structure,""sentence verb," and "compound noun." When the investigation project was created, the final discussion was "compound noun". In 2021, the number of times the project was completed, the project was directly trained, and the actual investigation was carried out. The results were very interesting. The biggest problem point in the preparation of the survey project in 2021 is that the survey project is the most suitable point for the survey project. This point is related to the final decision, the investigation implementation, the time, the problem point, the solution, the elimination, the consideration.
