以下の２つの研究を行った。１つめは規制が銀行に対して資本算入を許可する証券の種類によっては銀行による過度なリスクテイクを促進する可能性についての理論分析にかかわる論文の改訂を行った。改訂版では負債性の資本証券に対して期待リターンの最大化を目的とする資本提供者が投資をすることにより銀行がよりリスクの高い投資選択をする仕組みを強調した。この論文はCapital composition and investor-driven risk-taking in bankingのタイトルのもとで海外の学術雑誌に投稿したが、10か月におよぶ査読期間を経たにもかかわらず掲載には至らなかった。その理由として、負債性証券に投資する際の投資家の意思決定が金利水準に影響できるとする設定が現実的ではなく、市場金利を所与として分析することが望ましい点が指摘された。２つめは銀行のリスクテイクにかかわる拡張問題としてESG投資に着目した研究の準備をし、いまだ非公開ではあるものの一通り論文としてまとめた。企業金融およびバンキングの分野でのESGに係る先行研究をサーベイした結果、一般的にESG投資は非ESG投資に比べて低リスク・低リターンであることや、情報の非対称性がある場合に見せかけだけの環境投資があることなどを考慮に入れると、銀行の内部統治の厳しさが必ずしもESG投資を促進するとは限らない結果を得た。ところで本論文の基本モデルはひとつめの銀行モデルを拡張したものであり、査読の結果を受け、この２つ目の論文についても投資家の意思決定にかかわる部分の設定について大幅な変更をする必要が生じ、現在検討中である。
