项目摘要

昨年度に引き続き、応募書類において研究目的のひとつとしてあげた“「死別」経験への物語論的アプローチの理論的課題”の整理していく作業を行っている。2022年度から継続的にとりわけ力をいれて作業を進めているのが、いわゆる「二人称の死」が何故われわれにとって特別な経験（エピファニー）となるのかに関して、その内実を社会学的に探り、その根拠を明らかにすることである。当初この研究課題に関しては，使用する概念を「現象学的社会学」の理論枠組みに限定して作業を完徹するつもりであった。この種の問題をめぐる既存の議論群には、説明変数を増やすことによって結果的に説明力が上がっているようにみせる（みせかける）が多すぎると考えたからである。「愛情」や「親密な関係」という社会学的にはきわめて曖昧で世俗的になりがちなと言葉と距離化をはかって議論を成立させるためには、投入する概念を限定することが必要である。そうでなければ，それは社会学的な議論とはなり得ず，分析的に有用なものにもなり得ない。そのことを最も意識して認識利得のある現実的な分析枠組みを構築することを最も意識しながら作業を進めてきた。しかしながら、A. シュッツやP. バーガーが提示した概念枠のみに依拠しつつ進めてきた作業は限界に直面した状態に突き当たってしまった。そこで昨年度末から模索しているのが、ミードの「重要な他者」に関する（古典的な）議論や近年盛んになっているケアをめぐる議論を取り入れる試みである。説明枠組み構築のベースとして「現象学的社会学」から離れることは考えていない。あくまでもそこが起点であることには変わりがないが、上記二つの視点を援用しつつ議論に厚みと，われわれの日常的経験に即した説得力を獲得することが可能になるのではないかと考えている。
