项目摘要

研究初年度から研究２年目までコロナ感染拡大の直接的影響を受け、調査地での現地調査がまったくできないできたがオンラインツールを使い、調査対象者との関係づくりや聞き取り調査を継続して行ってきた。こうした地道な関係づくりをしてきた結果、コロナに対する社会的理解が進んできた2022年度（研究３年目）からは、調査地への現地調査を開始することができた。本研究で最も注目しているフリースクール・珊瑚舎スコーレには、年3回の調査に入ることができ、教育活動の実際及び学習システムについて情報を収集することができた。創立者から学校の理念やカリキュラムについての考え方を含め、学習システムの様態について詳しく話をきくこともできている。また、日本語教室として全国的に注目されている地球っ子グループとは、調査者及び被調査者という関係をこえて事業を協働するというところまで関係構築が進んでいる。また地球っ子グループの創立者と学習システムについて共同論文を執筆する実績もつくった（「多様性に根ざした『公正』としての『教育』活動の検討（第一部）地球っ子グループ『てんきりん』の2021年度の活動に着目して」『埼玉大学紀要　教育学部』第71巻第2号、2022年9月30日発行）。さらに2023年2月には調査対象として注目してきた珊瑚舎スコーレと地球っ子グループのスタッフを埼玉大学へ招聘し、学校外教育の可能性についてのシンポジウム（「『生活（life）』から人間の育ちと学びをとらえ直す－創る・楽しむ・共生する」）を開催し、学校外の学習システムの可能性について社会発信する機会も創った。研究年度３年目は以上のような飛躍的な実績をつくるに至った。
