本研究は、ブータンをフィールドとした、「モラルの育成」を主題とする研究である。理論研究としては「モラル育成にとってのスピリチュアリティの意味」に焦点を当て、フィールド研究と理論研究を往復する研究を目指す予定であった。ところが、2020年度、2021年度に続き、2022年度も新型コロナウイルスのため、大幅な計画の変更を余儀なくされた。限定的な渡航は可能となったが、本研究に必要なインタビュー調査は難しいと判断した。先方の関係機関とはインターネットやSNSを通じて連絡を取り続けたが、実質的なインタビュー調査は、断念せざるを得なかった。そこで今年度も、研究の焦点を理論研究に移し、研究の理論的基盤を根底から問い直す研究を継続した。１）「モラル形成」に関する理論研究については、「西田哲学と「東洋的世界観の論理」－『日本文化の問題』再考」、「「自得する」ということ－荻生徂徠の学習論・稽古論・教育論」、「問い直しのエチュード－「私に従ってはならない」をめぐって」を発表した。２）昨年度から開始した自らの「モラル形成」の記憶をたどる試みを継続し、月刊『みすず』誌上に、以下のテーマで、発表した。（「なぜ神は－「すべてはよい」か」、「運命ならば－「仕方がない」か」、「死者となった者たちの声－『サン・ルイス・レイ橋』を読み直す」、「臆病なのに－二十歳の旅から（１）」、「なぜか縁あって－二十歳の旅から（２）」。３）さらに、日本における「モラル形成」を身体の視点から問い直すために、月刊『武道』（日本武道館）に毎月の連載を開始した（第一回「武道の地平線」、第二回「守・破・離の「離」－「稽古とは　一より習い十を知り　十よりかえる　もとのその一」、第三回「守・破・離の「破」－守から破へと折れ曲がり、破から離へと折れ曲がる」、第四回「守破離の「守」－「守」がなければ「破」も「離」も生じない」」。
