项目摘要

当該年度は、敗戦直後から戦後新教育批判、そして生活綴方復興にいたる国分一太郎の教育論の変化を「国民教育」「自己教育(生活教育)」「言語教育」の内容と三者関係の変化として考察し、国分一太郎「教育」と「文学」研究会紀要に発表した。敗戦直後から1947年頃までの国分は、戦後日本の教育改革に沿うように人民のための国をつくる「国民教育」を中心に、国民自らが学ぶ「自己教育(生活教育)」、そして言語を道具のように使用する能力を身につけさせる「言語教育」を主張する。だが、「国民教育」が戦前と同じように従順な国民をつくる教育にとどまっていることへの批判、戦後教育が重視する「子どもの生活」が観念的なものにとどまっていることへの批判、そして戦前の綴方教師との再会が国分を戦後新教育批判、生活綴方の復興へと向かわせることになる。生活綴方において「自己教育(生活教育)」と「言語教育」は不即不離の関係にあり、生活綴方におけるこの関係が「国民教育」を批判的に問い直すことになる。この時期の国分の教育論において「国民教育」「自己教育(生活教育)」「言語教育」の内容と関係は大きく変化している。これらのことを明らかにし、研究会紀要に発表した。この考察は、これまで論じられることのなかった国分の戦後新教育批判、そして生活綴方復興にいたるまでの国分の教育論を明らかにするとともに、数多くの言及がなされてきた国分の戦後新教育批判や生活綴方復興にこれまでとは異なる解釈をもたらすことになる。さらに、「国民教育」「自己教育(生活教育)」「言語教育」からなる敗戦直後の国分の教育論は、言語教育に教師の役割を限定しようとする1936年以降の国分による生活綴方批判と理論的に重なる点があるように思える。だとすれば、本研究は戦前から戦後までの国分の生活綴方理論を連続的に捉えることを可能にする。
