项目摘要

本研究は、持続可能な地域づくりと社会教育の在り方を先進的な取り組みを行っている韓国・農村地域教育共同体の事例調査から明らかにするものである。初年度である令和2年度は、新型コロナウイルスの影響で、韓国調査を実施することが不可能だったため、2009年～2010年の共同調査と10年後の2019年に行った共同調査のデータを比較し基礎データを作成した。令和3年度は、韓国の農村において持続可能な地域づくりを目指した住民の公論の場として組織された「マウル（村）学会」の出版書籍に着目し、学会創立後の2017年から2021年に刊行された7冊の書籍を対象に整理を試みた。令和4年度は、韓国への渡航が可能となったため、現地での調査を2回行った。10月には若い協業農場と障がい者の暮らしと農業をつなぐ幸福農場での調査等を実施した。地域づくりの核となってきた代案学校と都市部の若者が農村で定住するための支援組織、障がい者の生涯学習を支える農場における学び合いは、教育を統合的に捉える農村地域教育共同体の解明につながるものであった。2月には、「マウル（村）研究所」を対象に農村地域における「研究所」の機能と保育所、小学校の現況について調査を行った。農村地域教育共同体において「研究所」が果たす教育的な役割を構造的に分析することにつながる調査となった。以上のとおり、本研究の調査地である洪城郡洪東面・長谷面において、子育て、学校教育、若者支援組織、地域住民による公論の場としての「マウル学会」、地域づくりの研究組織としての「マウル研究所」といった住民との協同により生まれ、そして根付いた教育機関、教育組織が有機的につながり、住民の暮らしを変容させていることがわかった。令和5年度は補足調査を実施し、まとめに向けた研究会の開催と報告書の作成、出版を行う予定である。
