项目摘要

本研究は，海外でのフィールド実験を通じて錯視現象の文化間比較を目的としている。今年度は本研究の４年間計画の３年目となるが，2020年度および2021年度は新型コロナウイルスの世界的流行の影響を受け，海外でのフィールド実験が中止となったが，今年度は予定していた調査地の一つであるタイに初めて調査を実施した。2022年8月28日から9月4日までの間にタイ出張を行い，前半の日程ではカセサート大学，モンクット王工科大学トンブリー校を訪問し，共同研究者と研究打ち合わせを行った。後半はチャチューンサオ県，チョンブリー県の調査サイトを訪問し，予備実験および本実験のための準備を実施し，現地コーディネーターやサポーターとの打ち合わせも行い，今後のタイでの実験と共同研究のための体制を整えた。また，今年度は異動に伴い，九州大学での実験室を再整備した上，日本での実験室実験を順調に実施した。5月から7月の間に幾何学錯視について50名以上のデータを収集し， 10月から11月の間に変形錯視と顔認知における錯視について30名程度のデータを集めた。収集したデータは2023年度中に論文と学会発表で公表する。一方で，昨年度実施した実験室実験の成果を取りまとめ，2022年7月に「Examining the impact of human face stimulus on shape-contrast effects during a brief presentation」とのタイトルで査読誌Brain Sciencesに掲載された。学術的成果公表のみならず，錯視について小学生や一般社会へのアウトリーチ活動も積極的に実施し，8回以上の公開講座を実施した。上記のように，フィールド実験という研究手法は過去２年間のコロナ禍によって実施が大幅制限されたが，今年度は各方面での実験と研究が再開できた。

The purpose of this study is to make intercultural comparisons of the phenomenon of visual illusion. The 2023 Annual Report of the Chinese Academy of Sciences In July 2022,"Examining the impact of human face stimulator on shape-contrast effects during a brief presentation" was published in Brain Sciences. Academic achievements are publicly displayed, misjudged, and actively implemented by primary school students and general social activities, and more than 8 public lectures are implemented. The research methods of the above mentioned projects have been greatly restricted in the past two years. This year, the research on various aspects has been reopened.
