项目摘要

今年度の目的は、前年度に引き続きトルコやギリシアで現地調査や史料収集を行い、その成果をもとに学会で報告し、学術雑誌に投稿することであった。ところが、今年度はコロナ禍により海外渡航を延期することになり、これに伴い科研費を8ヵ月繰越した。その後も依然としてコロナ禍による海外渡航の困難さは続いていたため、結局現地調査は見送ることになった。代わりに、それまで海外で行った調査の成果をもとに、セミナーでの発表や学術雑誌への投稿を積極的に行った。オンライン発表における質疑応答や投稿論文に対する査読者からのコメントは、コロナ禍により他の研究者と交流が制限される中、自らの研究を見直し、発展させる機会となった。また、留学助成を受けた松下幸之助記念志財団の援助により、研究成果の一部をブックレットの形で刊行することになった。ブックレットは一般向けであるため、自らの研究成果を広く社会に発信することにわずかながら貢献することができた。後日談ではあるが、ブックレットは2021年10月に刊行され、これがきっかけとなって生まれた縁もあり、将来にわたる研究生活の糧になったように思う。新たに海外調査が行えなかったことは心残りではあるが、論文やブックレットなどの執筆が捗ることになり、今年度から来年度にかけて学会での報告や論文、書籍の形になって発表されていく下地を作ることができた。来年度中にはこれまでの研究成果を博士論文まとめて提出する予定である。
