项目摘要

自然資源を利用した生業とそれに関連する文化は、とくに20世紀以降、世界的に大きく変化しつつあり、人類史の視点からみても重要な転換点にある。本研究では、人類の生業史について、生業の変化とその要因を考える試みの１つとして、山地の森林地帯で焼畑を行ってきた農耕民の事例を、定住化インパクトの視点から検討する。主に検討する事例は、中国南部を故地としておよそ18世紀以降に、ベトナム、ラオス、タイへと分布域を拡大してきた、農耕民モン（Hmong）である。2022年度は本研究の研究期間（2019年度から2022年度の4年間）の4年目に相当し、フィールドワークと聞き取り調査を主に実施する予定であったが、引き続き、新型コロナウィルス感染症（COVID-19）の影響をふまえて調査をひかえ、これまでの調査結果の整理と文献検討から主に研究を進めた。その結果、2022年度には、以下のような成果を出版・報告している。まず1つ目に、モンの定住化過程にともなう自然資源利用の動態について、タケ利用の民族誌データを用いて論じた成果を出版した（Nakai 2023）。またこの成果の内容を踏まえて、2022年12月には、生き物文化誌学会第85回例会『日本におけるタケと人のかかわり』において、コメント発表を行った。2つ目に、2023年1月には、広くアジアの狩猟採集民の生業を比較検討する、国立民族学博物館の共同研究会『アジアの狩猟採集民の移動と生業』での研究発表を行った。この発表では、主に焼畑民モンの視点からみた、近隣の狩猟採集民ムラブリの生業変化を、双方の民族集団の定住化との関わりから考察した。
